Trafficking of Valuable Timber Prevented in Paktika Province
Security personnel of the Forest Protection and Monitoring Unit of the Paktika Provincial Police Command prevented the illegal transportation of timber during the past week by stopping and seizing vehicles that were carrying wood unlawfully in areas of the provincial center.
A total of 10 vehicles were seized, including 3 cargo trucks, 6 Toyota vehicles, and 1 Saracha vehicle, all loaded with valuable timber.
These vehicles had come from Spera District of Khost Province and the districts of Barmal, Nika, and Ziruk in Paktika Province, and were heading toward Ghazni Province.
In connection with the case, the drivers of these vehicles have been arrested and are currently under investigation.
