For the first time, transit vehicles have begun operating around the clock through the Pul-e Abrisham border crossing in Nimroz Province, Afghanistan, and the Milak border crossing in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
The move aims to facilitate transit procedures, expedite the transportation of commercial goods, and provide greater convenience for drivers and traders.
Border police personnel at Pul-e Abrishum, in coordination with the relevant departments, remain on duty around the clock to ensure security within their area of responsibility, manage border affairs, and provide necessary services to drivers and traders.
With the introduction of 24-hour operations at this border crossing, the number of vehicles carrying imported and exported goods has increased from approximately 400 per day to around 800 within 24 hours.
