Security Cameras Become Operational in Herat

The inauguration and launch of hundreds of security cameras in Herat city was held in the presence of officials from the Ministry of Interior Affairs and the Herat Police Command.
At the ceremony, Engineer Salahuddin, Military Deputy of the General Directorate of Communications and Information Technology of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, said that the system was launched based on the needs and requests of the people, and that a significant number of areas across Herat city have been equipped with advanced security cameras.
He called on security personnel and citizens to cooperate in protecting, maintaining, and making effective use of the equipment.
Meanwhile, Al-Haj Sheikh Naqibullah Azizi, Police Commander of Herat, said that the cameras were installed to strengthen security, prevent crimes, and facilitate the identification and investigation of criminal incidents.
According to officials, the installation and activation of security cameras will continue in other parts of Herat city and its districts.
