A longstanding dispute between two families in Arghandi village of Paghman District, Kabul Province, has been peacefully resolved and transformed into friendship and reconciliation.

The conflict had emerged eight months ago following a verbal altercation that resulted in the death of a woman. Through the efforts of the Paghman district governor, the cooperation of respected religious scholars, tribal elders, and local mediators, the two sides agreed to settle their differences and restore peace.

Al- Haj Mawlawi Ali Mohammad Mujahid, the district governor of Paghman, welcomed the reconciliation and stated that the Islamic system has provided an opportunity for all ethnic groups in Afghanistan to set aside past hostilities and problems, work together for the country's development, and build a better future for their children.
