Attempt to Smuggle Thousands of Narcotic Pills Prevented at Torkham Border

Personnel from the General Directorate of Border Police under the Ministry of Interior successfully thwarted a major drug smuggling attempt at the Torkham land port through timely inspection and swift action.
Smugglers were attempting to transport 600 packages of the banned drug "Pregabalin" — totaling approximately 6,000 pills — from Pakistan into Afghanistan. However, thanks to the vigilance and professionalism of the Border Police, the attempt was foiled and the suspects were apprehended.
This operation marks a significant step forward in the ongoing fight against narcotics trafficking.
