14 Armed Taliban Killed and Wounded in Helmand Province

Three armed Taliban were killed and three other armed Taliban were wounded during a clearance operation carried out by Afghan National Police on the Wazir Manda highway, southern Helmand province.

Four Taliban hideouts destroyed and several villages cleared of armed Taliban presence.

In the meantime, Afghan National Police detected 20 roadside bombs as well.

In a separate report, eight armed Taliban including two local commanders of armed Taliban were killed after Air Forces struck militants’ hideouts in Lawur Khil village, Kajaki district and Qala-e-Gaz village, Nahri Saraj district, Helmand province.

Weapons and vehicle belonging to the armed militants were also destroyed during the air raid.
