Officials Lay Foundation Stone for New Passport Office Building in Khost

Through the financial and development budget of the Ministry of Interior, the foundation stone for the new building of the Khost Provincial Passport Office was laid at a cost of 9.03 million Afghanis. The building will consist of two floors and include 12 administrative rooms. A domestic company will construct it under the direct supervision of the General Directorate of Construction and is expected to complete the work within four months.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Military Deputy of the General Directorate of Construction, Mawlawi Sher Ahmad Rohani, Khost Deputy Governor Mawlawi Mahboob Shah Qanit, civil and military officials of the province, and the technical team. In his remarks, Mawlawi Rohani highlighted the new building of the Khost Police Headquarters and ongoing electrification projects in Qalandar and Tani districts. The Deputy Governor added that efforts are underway to relocate government departments currently operating outside the complex into the main compound, to improve convenience for visitors and ensure more standardized services.

Mawlawi Noroz, the Head of the Khost Passport Office, stated that the construction of the new building will lead to better organization of administrative procedures and more effective resolution of public issues.
