Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics Meets with UNODC Country Office Head in Kabul

Sheikh Abdul Rahman Munir, Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics at the Ministry of Interior, met with Mr. Poly Oak Sri, Head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Kabul.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation and coordination in the field of counter-narcotics, particularly in the areas of surveys and information gathering.
The Deputy Ministry for Counter-Narcotics provided information on the professional measures undertaken and emphasized that effective efforts to combat this global phenomenon require joint efforts based on international standards and sustained cooperation.
Both sides emphasized to further strengthen mutual coordination.
