Four Individuals Arrested in Connection with Trafficking 39 Kilograms of Opium in Nimroz

Police of Nimroz Provincial Headquarters have arrested four individuals in connection with the trafficking of 39 kilograms of opium during two separate operations.

In the first case, three suspects were intercepted on the main highway while attempting to smuggle 21 kilograms of opium from the Baghwah district of Nimroz to Helmand province using a Toyota Hilux vehicle. Police also seized one Kalashnikov rifle, three magazines, and 42 rounds of ammunition from their possession.

In a separate operation, counter-narcotics police detained another individual who was attempting to smuggle 18 kilograms of opium from Baghwah district to Helmand province.
