14,000 Kilograms of Narcotics Burned in Takhar Province
Counter-Narcotics Police of the Takhar Provincial Police Command have burned more than 14,000 kilograms of narcotics that were seized and collected over the past year from various parts of the province, during a special ceremony attended by a number of officials from the Islamic Emirate.
The burned substances included opium, hashish, methamphetamine (crystal), intoxicating tablets, alcoholic beverages, chemical processing materials, and equipment from drug production laboratories.
This action was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and production and to protect public health and safety.
