New Helmand Police Headquarters Building Inaugurated

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Counter-Narcotics of the Ministry of Interior, the Governor of Helmand, the Director General of Construction Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, the Police Chief, and a number of other officials and personnel.
During his speech, Helmand Governor Al-Haj Mawlawi Amanuddin Mansoor described the construction of such facilities as important for providing better services to the people and improving public service delivery.
Al-Haj Sheikh Abdul Rahman Munir, Deputy Minister of Counter-Narcotics, expressed his satisfaction and said that Helmand was once an important center of jihad and is now witnessing major infrastructure projects aimed at improving the welfare and serving the people.
Other officials also delivered speeches in turn and called for the continuation of such infrastructure projects.
The building was constructed over 18 months using the development budget of the Ministry of Interior, at a cost of more than AFN 75 million. It consists of three floors and nearly 100 administrative and technical rooms.
Meanwhile, the building of the Border Police Command Headquarters at Helmand Airport was also inaugurated and put into operation.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by local officials of Helmand province as well as the Deputy Minister of Counter-Narcotics of the Ministry of Interior.
The building was constructed at a cost of more than AFN 15 million from the development budget of the Ministry of Interior.
