Further Fire Incident Prevented in Kabul’s Mandawi Area (Wholesale Market)

Personnel of the General Directorate of Firefighting and Emergency Response successfully prevented the spread of a fire at a shoe market (Sarai-e-Boot) inside Kabul’s Mandawi area.
The fire, which had affected 8 shops and 10 warehouses, caused an estimated loss of nearly 700,000 US dollars. However, property worth close to 150 million Afghanis was saved as a result of the timely response and efforts of the firefighting teams.
Officials stated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
