Baghlan Governor Holds Talks with UNAMA Official on Development Cooperation

Al-Haj Mawlawi Abdullah Mukhtar, Governor of Baghlan, met with Robin Kalpin, Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) Office for the Northern and Northeastern Region, to discuss the basic needs of the people of Baghlan, development projects, and ways to increase international assistance.

During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the need to expand practical cooperation in the sectors of education, healthcare, agriculture, livestock, support for returning migrants, and the implementation of infrastructure projects. He called for greater collaboration in these areas.

The UNAMA official stated that Baghlan Province remains one of the organization's priority areas and affirmed that efforts will be made, within available resources, to expand assistance and the activities of humanitarian organizations operating in the province.
